Welcome to the forum! To keep this community fun, welcoming, and engaging, we’ve put together some simple rules. Please take a moment to read them before diving in! The first three are the most important.
1. Be Respectful
Treat everyone with kindness and respect, even if you disagree. Harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks won’t be tolerated.
2. No Flame Wars or Trolling
Debate is encouraged, but keep it civil. No name-calling, trolling, or intentionally stirring up drama.
3. Avoid Overly Political Discussions
While discussions that touch on in-game politics in fine, avoid bringing in real-world political arguments.
4. No Spam or Self-Promotion
Avoid spamming links, ads, or irrelevant content. You’re welcome to share your blog, module, or project if it’s relevant, but don’t overdo it—engage with the community first!
5. Use Clear Post Titles
Make your thread titles descriptive to help others know what it’s about (e.g., "Help with Sandbox Campaigns" instead of "Question").
6. Stay On-Topic
Keep discussions relevant to the forum’s focus: old-school D&D and related topics. Tangents are fine, but major off-topic posts should go in the appropriate section (if available).
7. Respect Copyright and Attribution
Don’t post entire copyrighted texts, modules, or rules. Sharing summaries, reviews, or your own interpretations is great! Always credit creators if you’re sharing art, maps, or resources.
8. Keep it Safe
Avoid posting overly graphic or mature content.
9. Use the Right Categories
Post in the appropriate section of the forum (e.g., DM Tips, Player Stories, Worldbuilding). This helps everyone find what they’re looking for.
10. Report Issues
If you see a post that violates these rules, please contact the admin (Me!).
Consequences for Breaking Rules
Minor offenses may result in a warning.
Repeated or severe violations can lead to temporary or permanent bans.
Let’s work together to make this a welcoming, inspiring, and fun community for all old-school D&D fans. Happy posting! 🎲
Cheers,
Russ
