One of the things I miss (there are many!) are old websites from circa 2000, where talented teens (mostly) would create bespoke websites using HTML & CSS code from scratch. They were both talented, creative, and an inspiration.
Well, that's my latest side project: creating a website from scratch just using HTML & CSS.
I used to do this all the time back in the day, but I haven't touched much website coding for about 20 years - a lot has changed. To say the least. But, revisiting a lot of old websites (there are a heap sill kicking along) has given me the bug again.
However, this is not going to be done overnight: this is a long-term project of love.
I am starting with the basics, and then want to move to using JavaScript to add some moving parts to it. And then wherever that takes me.
I am not even sure what it will be about yet. 🙂
