Snake Whip (also known as Fangwhip)
The whip appears to be a normal whip, albeit well-made.
When used the whip acts as a +2 magical item, but when used at its maximum range, it stretches to double the normal range (10-ft becomes 20-ft) with no attack penalties. On command, the end of the whip turns into a snake head which rolls an attack as a normal poisonous snake (at +2 to hit and damage) and the target must save vs. poison or die.
History
Fangwhip was crafted over three centuries ago by Vasker the Coil, a weaponsmith who worshipped the great serpents of Iklarn (the chaos god of disease, decay, and illness). Legend claims he bound a great jungle serpent and used its fang and blood in forging the whip after a fever dream brought on by swallowing vast amounts of snake venom.
The weapon passed through the hands of assassins, adventurers, and monster hunters before disappearing for nearly a century. It occasionally resurfaces, always seeming to find its way into the hands of those who have a talent for violence.
